AliSQL

AliSQL is a MySQL branch that originated from Alibaba Group. It is based on the MySQL official release and has many features and performance enhancements. AliSQL has proven to be very stable and efficient in a production environment. It can be used as a free, fully compatible, enhanced and open-source drop-in replacement for MySQL. AliSQL has been an open-source project since August 2016. It is being actively developed by engineers from Alibaba Group. Moreover, it includes patches from Percona, WebScaleSQL, and MariaDB. AliSQL is a fruit of community effort. Everyone is welcome to get involved. The unique value of monotonically increasing is a common requirement in a persistent database system, whether it is a business primary key in a single node or a globally unique value for a distributed system or an idempotent control in a multi-system.

Sequence values are generated by the Application or Proxy
Increase of expansion and contraction complexity
Sequence values are generated by the database through simulated tables
AliSQL autonomously implemented SEQUENCE
Access to the SEQUENCE through the SEQUENCE HANDLER
The final data access is still through the base table data engine
