WSJT
Weak signal ham radio communication
The WSJT project implements software for amateur radio communication using state-of-the-art digital techniques. Typical applications involve "DXing" at LF, MF, HF, and VHF+ frequencies, including meteor scatter and EME ("moonbounce"). Major emphasis is placed on weak-signal techniques. Summary Program Descriptions: WSJT-X supports the communication protocols FST4, FT4, FT8, JT4, JT9, JT65, Q65, MSK144, WSPR, FST4W, and Echo, each optimized for different sorts of radio-wave propagation. MAP65 and QMAP are designed for EME at VHF and higher frequencies. MAP65 provides a panoramic, polarization-matching receiver for the Q65 and JT65. modes. QMAP works together with WSJT-X to provide a panoramic receiver for Q65 modes covering a 90 kHz sub-band. Programs WSJT and WSPR are interesting primarily for historical reasons. They are superseded by WSJT-X. -

Bear 100 Race Aid Station Application
To be used for the Bear 100 Race: see http://www.bear100.com/
Tracks runner's in/out time at each aid station. Saves data in CSV file. Can be configured for other races. AidStations.txt in repository contains the 15 or so Aid Stations used for the Bear100. The Bear100 is an annual 100 mile, 2 day race on foot through the Rocky Mountains in North America. Will communicate via serial over a 1200 baud AX.25 link to a ARES/Data backend (which we call NetControl). Can initialize some hardware TNCs with parameters optimal for ARES/Data topology. See ARES paper for topology/backend: http://www.tapr.org/pub_cnc07.html All Aid Stations are expected to use same frequency concurrently, and optionally send queries to Net Control. Note backend will support more frequencies if more radios were hooked up. Expected that subset of stations will use software. Remainder will communicate runner data via voice to NetControl. -

A CW beacon implemented in C language on a AVR AtTiny13A microcontroller (1KB flash!). Include a CW parametric modulator/keyer, an emulated I2C periferal and a device driver in order to handle the Si570 oscillator by Silabs. You can personalize the transmitted message and the morse speed (in WPM). In the example the beacon is IQ6MC/B JN63RH @ 144.450MHz.
