WinAVR (tm) is a suite of executable, open source software development tools for the Atmel AVR series of RISC microprocessors hosted on the Windows platform. Includes the GNU GCC compiler for C and C++.

A disassembler for the linux platform. Currently this supports x86 ELF files assumed to be written in C and output to intel- syntax assembly language; however the design is modular and replacements for any of these can be written.

The "Open On-Chip Debugger" provides JTAG/SWD access from GDB (or directly with TCL scripts) to processors with ARM and MIPS based cores. See website for full list of supported targets.

Jasmin is an interpreter for the x86 assembly language with a full-featured development environment aimed for educational purposes.

This project born a few years ago when I encountered a fatal bug on a production environment, unfortunately not replicable on my development machine. I spent many time finding a solution, using also freeware and commercial third-party tools and libraries, but none helped me because the bug crashed the process, and no of the above tools could be able to catch the exception before the process dying. Also, it was not possible to install a development environment onto the production machines, so the only solution was to develop a debugger which didn't need any user/developer interaction. I used many open source resources, then I decided to make the Bug Finder an open source project. It is built over a pluggable architecture to support other languages different from Borland Delphi (the one I used to develop my faulting application and the Bug Finder too). MINIMON is a Machine Language Monitor for the Commodore VIC-20. It is a combined hardware/software project: a cartridge for the computer's expansion port (with a cartridge extender for a secondary cartridge), plus firmware, which is the actual MINIMON monitor. MINIMON features all commands usually expected from a debugger/monitor: Memory dump and edit, Register dump and edit, Execute code from monitor, Direct Assembler and Disassembler (all documented opcodes of the NMOS 6502), Transfer/Compare/Fill/Hunt in memory blocks, Use of breakpoints with the BRK instruction, Load/Save/Verify with any storage device. The cartridge hardware expands upon the firmware features by supplying a de-multiplexer for the $9800..$9FFF I/Ox area (where the firmware is located per default) and a versatile reset button (with autostart inhibit for secondary cartridges). NEmu is an emulator/simulator for exploring computer architecture. It provides a virtual machine, a debugger, and simulations of various cpus and hardware. NEmu is built on top of ALib, my own application framework.
