5.1 is not usable for me. When I compile GFORTRAN code I get "Program received signal SIGSEGV: Segmentation fault - invalid memory reference"
4.9 versions have other compile issues
4.8 versions work best for me

Most excellent toolchain, very responsive crew & community. We've moved all our Windows builds to MinGW-w64, and it's been a great relief so far.

A great replacement for mingw.org and this provides better compatibility with windows headers and libs. And it offers a 32- AND 64-bit toolchain. Active and friendly development team.

Documentation might be better, but when you get the build environment up and running it really is good -- building win32 and win64 binaries with native linux is the way to do it!

I highly recommend this project, Its very stable and error free based on my usage of it so far. It easily allows compiling to 32bit or 64bit targets with gcc. And best of all i can compile my windows apps from linux (with gcc).
