hello, nice little tool. but the file size increases more and more. it makes no sense deleting the content, its kept. so old content completely remains in executable file. so if you no longer need this file, throw it away like a tissue and use a new fresh one for new top secret messages and so on. :)

Two different Undo behaviors

Starting with an empty LockNote, type in "abc" and then select Undo from the Edit menu (or hit Ctrl-Z). This Undo command works character-by-character, erasing the letter "c."

Now, repeat the experiment, but instead of using the menu bar or the keyboard shortcut for Undo, _right_-click inside the document and choose Undo from the resulting context menu. This Undo command erases the whole word.

There are good arguments for using either character-based or action-based Undo, but the decision should probably apply application-wide, instead of having different Undo methods do different things.

access denied

using locknote 1.01 for 1 yr + on w2ksp4, and suddenly when I try to open any locknote file on the box I get "access denied"! I do not even get the opening interface to enter password, just a popup that says access denied. nothing obvious wrong with the box, ie, no other anomlies noted. about the only thing new is I installed f-prot Windows AV 6.0.5.0 and ran a AV scan with that. something obviously corrputed all locknote files, and it is causing me some problems as I relied on locknote thinking it was foolproof and bug free, to the extent that some of locknote encrypted files are not stored anywhere else. any idea what caused that and if / how to fix so I can regain access. I have not seen this bug reported anywhere else, but folks should know that if it can happen to me, it can happen! help appreciated...

Change Font

Hi,

could you change the font used in Locknote so that that lowercase character L and the number 1 can be easily distinguished?

At the moment they appear identical (or as good as!)

Otherwise really love the util, keep it up!!

Save window size and shape

It would be very nice if Locknote saved the size and
dimensions of the window when you save, so that it
opens to the same dimensions each time you opened it.

I use a text file with Locknote that's bigger than
the normal window size, so I have to re-size every
time I open it.

Find dialog

There are bugs with the following standard shortkeys
in the FIND popup:

- CTRL-V
Should insert from clipboard to the search field,
but inserts into the text window below.

- ENTER
Should start the search, but nothing happens.

- ESC
Should exit the find popup, but nothing happens.

- TAB
The focus should jump from field to field,
but nothing happens.

not working under win98se

dear developer,
i dont know whether it is my fault or the programmes
fault, but i have tried to lock a few test texts very
often.
i entered the password and closed the programme.
after the restast of locknote, the welcome text is
still displayed, nothing has been saved, nothing has
been done.
what am i doing wrong or could it be that locknote
does not work under winme, 98se, win9x??
please answer!!

Converting Files in unicode + Cyrillic displaying

1. When I convert .txt files saved as unicode by drag
and drop the only thing left after saving is: ÿþB
This word wasn't even contained insided the original
text (an example .txt in unicode is attatched).

2. When I save Cyrillic it is always turned into lots
of ???

even if you delete all the content. This seems to be a
