All of your data can be private, public or both and can be browsed by tags or all-in-one search. Shaark is production ready, inspired by Shaarli, built with Laravel and Vue.js. All contributions are welcome! Please use the dev branch for your pull requests. If you make changes to JS, don't compile assets in production, I'll manually compile them when merging for security reasons. You're able to active 2-FA (2 factors authentication). By default 2-FA is disabled but you can update it from your app settings. Code length and code expiration are also configurable. Test if you application can send emails before enabling this feature. Since 1.2.9, all chests data are encrypted in your database using AES-256-CBC and your app key. Others users can be admin or non-admin. Admin users are like the main user and have an access to the entire content. -

A self-service password management tool for Active Directory
PassCore is a very simple 1-page web application written in C#, using ASP.NET Core, Material UI (React Components), and Microsoft Directory Services (Default provider). It allows users to change their Active Directory/LDAP password on their own, provided the user is not disabled. PassCore does not require any configuration, as it obtains the principal context from the current domain. I wrote this because a number of people have requested several features that the original version did not have. The original version of this tool was downloaded around 8000 times in 2.5 years. My hope is that the new version continues to be just as popular. There really is no free alternative out there (that I know of) so hopefully, this saves someone else some time and money. We recommend use the docker image and redirect the traffic to nginx. -

Low-budget password strength estimation
For over 30 years, password requirements and feedback have largely remained a product of LUDS: counts of lower- and uppercase letters, digits and symbols. LUDS remains ubiquitous despite being a conclusively burdensome and ineffective security practice. zxcvbn is an alternative password strength estimator that is small, fast, and crucially no harder than LUDS to adopt. Using leaked passwords, we compare its estimations to the best of four modern guessing attacks and show it to be accurate and conservative at low magnitudes, suitable for mitigating online attacks. We find 1.5 MB of compressed storage is sufficient to accurately estimate the best-known guessing attacks up to 105 guesses, or 104 and 103 guesses, respectively, given 245 kB and 29 kB. zxcvbn can be adopted with 4 lines of code and downloaded in seconds. It runs in milliseconds and works as-is on web, iOS and Android. -
