mpv_thumbnail_script.lua is a script/replacement OSC for mpv to display preview thumbnails when hovering over the seek bar, without any external dependencies1, cross-platform-ly2. The script will also do multiple passes over the video, generating thumbnails with increasing frequency until the target is reached. This allows you to preview the end of the file before every thumbnail has been generated. -

A neutral new tab page accented with a chosen color. Customize the layout, style, background and bookmarks with nightTab. Make the browser start page dark (or light, or anything in between). Do not access user information. This means nightTab will not request browser permissions. Aim to make everything on the user interface, within reason, customizable. Aim to make the user experience easy while supporting the above. Keep nightTab open source. Sharing the look and feel of one Bookmark to another can be achieved when editing a single Bookmark. The Bookmark edit modal has three options to copy settings to other Bookmarks. These checkboxes can be found at the bottom of the Visual & Name, Layout and Theme tab. Development and testing is only conducted on Chrome and Firefox. The performance and reliability of nightTab on other browsers is out of the scope of this project. -

PaperColor is a light and dark Vim color scheme inspired by Google’s Material Design. Optimized for readability, it supports various filetypes and works on both GUI (gVim) and terminal Vim with full or limited color palettes. Also gracefully support down to 16 color (4-bit) terminal, which will use terminal native colors. You need to change the terminal colors to PaperColor palette. In 8 color and 4 color terminals, they might lack the necessary variation of colors to express PaperColor look, but seriously let me know if you still use these kinds of terminals. There are many more colors for many additional syntax groups, but they are designed to fall back to these base 16 colors strategically so that it can utilize the terminal native color palette (if configured like above), and also theme designers only need to provide 16 colors for a functional theme. -

Grid 4 has the ability to start Docker containers on-demand, this means that it starts a Docker container in the background for each new session request, the test gets executed there, and when the test completes, the container gets thrown away. This execution mode can be used either in the Standalone or Node roles. The "dynamic" execution mode needs to be told what Docker images to use when the containers get started. Additionally, the Grid needs to know the URI of the Docker daemon. If you want to scale by distributing and running tests on several machines and manage multiple environments from a central point, making it easy to run the tests against a vast combination of browsers/OS, then you want to use Selenium Grid. It is possible to start a Selenium Grid with all its components apart. For simplicity, only an example with docker-compose will be provided. Save the file locally, and check the execution instructions on top of it. -

Draper adds an object-oriented layer of presentation logic to your Rails application. Without Draper, this functionality might have been tangled up in procedural helpers or adding bulk to your models. With Draper decorators, you can wrap your models with presentation-related logic to organize and test this layer of your app much more effectively. Imagine your application has an Article model. With Draper, you'd create a corresponding ArticleDecorator. The decorator wraps the model, and deals only with presentational concerns. In the controller, you decorate the article before handing it off to the view. In the view, you can use the decorator in exactly the same way as you would have used the model. But whenever you start needing logic in the view or start thinking about a helper method, you can implement a method on the decorator instead. -
