Petra is the primary repository for plugins for the Luxor XUL (XML User Interface Language) toolkit. Plugins let you use new XUL tags along with all built-in core XUL tags without any need to tweak or rebuild the Luxor kernel.

Powerline is a statusline plugin for vim, and provides statuslines and prompts for several other applications, including zsh, bash, tmux, IPython, Awesome, i3 and Qtile. Powerline was completely rewritten in Python to get rid of as much vimscript as possible. This has allowed much better extensibility, leaner and better config files, and a structured, object-oriented codebase with no mandatory third-party dependencies other than a Python interpreter. Using Python has allowed unit testing of all the project code. The code is tested to work in Python 2.6+ and Python 3. Originally created exclusively for vim statuslines, the project has evolved to provide statuslines in tmux and several WMs, and prompts for shells like bash/zsh and other applications. It’s simple to write renderers for any other applications that Powerline doesn’t yet support. JSON is a standardized, simple and easy to use file format that allows for easy user configuration across Powerline’s supported applications.

PyApplet will be a web browser plugin (currently for Firefox on Windows, later for other platforms and browsers). PyApplet will make it possible to create applets (like java applets) in Python.

PyBookmark manipulates bookmark files. It can sync files (no server required), merge, sort, remove duplicates, and check links. Its library pybookmarklib provides access to these operations, data structures, and parser for further extensibility.

A minimalistic, quick and simple (KISS simple) browser implemented in python using pywebkitgtk, pygtk and python 2.7.3. Do note that this project would use python 3.x, however the owner has no desire whatsoever to port webkit to python 3.x at this time. This means that some features that the author considers to be "bloated", like mouse gestures, long configurations, etc. will not be supported (but can be made by you). SilverCity is a lexing package, based on Scintilla, that can provide lexical analysis for over 20 programming and markup langauges. Scripting language bindings currently exist for Python.
